Timothy Theodore Duncan (born April 25, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player. He spent his entire 19-year career (1997–2016) with the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). \n', '
Duncan started out as a swimmer and did not begin playing basketball until ninth grade after Hurricane Hugo destroyed the only Olympic-sized pool on his home of Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He played basketball for St. Dunstan\'s Episcopal High School. In college, Duncan played for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, winning the Naismith College Player of the Year, USBWA College Player of the Year, and John Wooden awards in his senior year. \n', '
